Rosa L. Pace

1944 – 2026

Rosa Pace, 81, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, in Newburgh, New York. Born on October 23, 1944, in Villabate, Sicily, Italy, Rosa was the cherished daughter of the late Giacomo and Teresa Bruschetti.

Rosa’s life was a testament to love and devotion. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 15 years, Guilio Pace, and their son, Guilio A. Pace. Her family was her greatest joy and source of pride. She is survived by her daughters Josephine A. Pace-Brown (and her husband Drew Brown) and Theresa R. Spearing (and her husband Robert Spearing). Rosa adored her four grandchildren—Evan Brown, Liam Brown, Aiden Brown, and Eliana Spearing—and treasured every moment spent with them.

Rosa is also survived by her siblings: her brother Frank Bruschetti (and his wife Anna), and her sisters Gina Zarcone and Cathy Reis (and her husband James). She was predeceased by her brother John Bruschetti (and his wife Francesa) and her sister Anna Bruschetti. Rosa’s extended family included many nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews who held a special place in her heart.

Known for her big heart and warm spirit, Rosa touched the lives of many people in countless ways. Her love for family and friends was boundless, and she found immense joy in spending time with those she held dear. Her grandchildren were especially precious to her; she delighted in creating lasting memories with them through hours of shared laughter and love.

Rosa’s legacy of kindness and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 12th from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Brooks Funeral Home located at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550.

A Mass of the Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church at 10:00am on Wednesday, May 13th located at 301 Ann Street, Newburgh, NY 12550.

An entombment will follow at the Cedar Hill Mausoleum located at 5468 Rte 9W, Newburgh, NY 12550.
