Selma J. Cohen, of New Windsor and owner of Cohen Dress Store in Newburgh, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital, Newburgh. She was 96. The daughter of the late Jacob and Betty (Mack) Levy, she was born on January 19, 1917 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the widow of Stuart Cohen, who predeceased her on February 11, 2012. Selma was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Martin Cohen and his wife, Georgette; grandchildren, Michael Cohen and his wife, Janet, Michelle (Mishi) and Melissa Cohen; great-grandson, Troy Cohen, nephew, Scott, and niece, Jill. In addition to her husband, Stuart and her parents, Jacob & Betty, Selma was predeceased by her daughter, Paula Lynn Cohen. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 14 at Temple Beth Jacob Cemetery, Newburgh.
