Shantiqua Renee McDonald

Shantiqua Renee McDonald, daughter, mother, sister, and fierce soul, passed away on June 1, 2025. Born on November 20, 1990, in Newburgh, New York, at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the daughter of Linda McDonald and the late Archie McDonald.

Shantiqua was a loving mother to her three children: A'ariyah Ravnell, Jai'Yaire Ravnell, and Tahari McDonald. Her children were her world, and she carried them through life with a strong heart and unmatched loyalty.

She stood firm as a sister to Arvia McDonald, Archie McDonald Jr., Daejon McDonald, and Tyvon McDonald. If you knew Shantiqua, you knew she didn't hold back—she said what needed to be said, stood for who she loved, and didn't fold under pressure.

She lived by her own rules, with a rebellious outlook and a sharp sense of humor that could catch anyone off guard. She loved traveling, dancing, and being around her people making memories. Shantiqua was protective by nature—tough when she had to be, loyal without question, and always down for those she called family.

She leaves behind a space no one else can fill. Her legacy is one of strength, grit, and real love.

A Visitation will be held on Friday June 6th from 10:00am - 12:00pm with a service following at 12:00pm at Holy Temple UHC located at 179 South Street, Newburgh, NY 12550

A burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery located at 93 Union Ave, New Windsor, NY 12553
