Sondra DiGregorio
February 21, 1940 ~ July 21, 2025
With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Nana, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, Sondra DiGregorio, who passed away peacefully at the age of 85.
A devoted and loving woman, Sondra cherished her family above all else. She was the heart and soul of our family—our matriarch, our icon, and truly one of a kind. She was never afraid to say exactly what was on her mind. Her unwavering strength, generous spirit, and deep warmth made everyone feel seen and loved.
She did not fear death as she knew she would be joining loved ones who had gone before her. She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved sisters, Yvette and her twin sister Eleanor, whom she missed dearly and was looking forward to being reunited with.
Sondra leaves behind her daughter, Jill Cappa, and her husband Louis; her son, Lawrence DiGregorio, and his wife Claudette; her cherished grandchildren Camille Francese (Zackary), Luke, Sophia, and Peter Cappa; Joseph (fiancé Alexis Musco) and Nicholas (fiancé Taylor Johnson) DiGregorio; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Dominic and Rosalia Francese. She also leaves behind many adored nieces and nephews who were touched by her love and generosity and her aide and good friend Paula Campbell, who cared for her with love these last few years.
She had a deep appreciation for life's beauty, especially in the color purple, the smell of lilacs, and the delicate grace of butterflies. Her presence brought light into every room, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor, where family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate the remarkable woman she was.
Sondra will be missed beyond measure and remembered always with love.
