Stephan A. Strobach, a long-time resident of the Town of Newburgh, entered peacefully into rest at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 8, 2016. He was 66. The son of the late Albert P. and Erna (Preitner) Strobach, he was born on September 23, 1949 in Manhattan, NY. He married Donna Leszczynski Strobach on February 15, 1970 in Yonkers. Together they shared over 46 wonderful years together! Donna resides at home. Stephan was proud to have served our country as a member of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Stephan was a project manager for IBM and enjoyed his retirement after 32 years. He was an avid sports fan who loved the New York Yankees and New York Giants, but was the biggest fan of his grandchildren's sports teams. Stephan was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend-he will be deeply missed... In addition to his wife, Donna, Stephan is survived by his loving sons, Donn Strobach and his wife, Angela of Wallkill and Kenneth Strobach and his wife, Deborah of Montgomery; six grandchildren, Andrew, Ryan and Kaitlin and Autumn, Nicholas & Olivia and his two nephews. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 12 at 10 am at Our Lady of the Lake Chapel, 430 S Plank Rd, Newburgh, NY 12550. Burial will follow in Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden, NY. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in Stephan's memory may be made to the Hudson Valley SPCA, 940 Little Britain Rd, New Windsor, NY 12553 or on their website at www.hudsonvalleyspca.com
