Stephanie Powles, 34, of Modena, NY passed away on October 13, surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived by her mother and father, Ellen and Joe Puleo; her wife, Alicia Brand; her paternal father, Dave Powles; her siblings, Jen Powles, Joey and Sean Puleo; her nieces, Alyssa and Jenna Wilson, and Elianna Powles; her loved puppies Snowball and Cocoa; and her many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, family members, and friends.
Stephanie was born in Kingston, NY and was the oldest of her three siblings. She had no problem making sure that they were aware that she was the oldest, and thus, always in charge. She grew up surrounded by her many cousins who were like siblings to her. She always had big dreams and goals and would do whatever she needed to accomplish them. Stephanie will forever be remembered for her infectious laugh and her unmistakable confidence. She entered and left a room quietly and without notice, but when she was there, everyone wanted to be around her. She will forever be loved and missed.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8pm on Wednesday, October 17 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave. Newburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am on Thursday, October 18 at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Plattekill, NY.
