Susan M. Yeoman
April 8, 1950 ~ April 11, 2026
Susan "Sammy" Yeoman (née Miller), 76, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, in Newburgh, New York. Born on April 8, 1950, in Poughkeepsie, New York, Susan lived a vibrant and fulfilling life that touched the hearts of many.
Susan was the beloved daughter of Irene and George Miller and grew up alongside her older sister, Betty Webber. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Russell Yeoman, with whom she shared countless adventures and cherished memories. Together, they explored towns near and far, savoring meals and discovering new places. Their shared love for travel often took them to the mountains of upstate New York, where Susan found solace in nature's beauty.
A dedicated professional, Susan built a successful career as a real estate paralegal. Before transitioning into law, she spent many years as a realtor in the Hudson Valley, helping families find their dream homes. Her work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in every endeavor she pursued.
Beyond her professional achievements, Susan had a deep passion for animals and the outdoors. She was an avid supporter of local animal shelters and gave generously to causes close to her heart. Her love for nature was matched only by her adventurous spirit, qualities that led her to attend the iconic Woodstock concert in 1969. A local newspaper even captured her photograph during the historic event, a testament to her place in a moment that defined a generation.
Susan's legacy lives on through her children: Donald Dunkailo and Heather Yeoman. They will forever remember her as a loving mother who instilled in them an appreciation for life's simple joys and the importance of giving back.
May Susan's memory bring comfort to those who knew her and inspire others to embrace life with the same warmth and generosity she so effortlessly shared.
