Tami Marie Bruce
November 4, 1959 ~ May 26, 2026
Tami Marie Bruce, born November 4, 1959, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, at the home of her grandson in Orange County, New York, surrounded by the love of family.
Tami was the daughter of Gloria Tooley and William Bauman and was the oldest of five siblings. She is survived by her siblings Valerie DeGroat, William Bauman Jr., Jimmy Tooley & Rusty Tooley.
A devoted mother, Tami is survived by her three children: Saunya Anderson, Nicole Anderson, and Jeremy Anderson. She was also the proud grandmother of fifteen grandchildren: Brandon, CJ, Alexandria, Collin, Billie Jean, Hailey, Nyiem, Jeremiah Jr, Nate, McKenzie, Zack, Joshua, Camren, Bella & Rylie. As well as a great-grandmother of nine great-grandchildren: Savannah, Jennifer, Dennis, Grayson, Clayton, Madison, Carson, Arianna & Atreyu all of whom brought tremendous joy to her life.
Tami was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Bruce, who passed away in 2023. Their love and devotion to one another remained evident throughout their lives. Even while Tami resided in a nursing home, John visited her faithfully and often, right up until the time of his passing.
In her later years, Tami lived with her oldest grandson, Brandon, and his wife, Wendy. Wendy served as Tami's primary caregiver and went above and beyond in caring for her, treating her not simply as family, but as if she were her own grandmother. Their love, compassion, and dedication brought Tami comfort and dignity during her final years.
Though often the shortest person in the room, Tami made sure she was always the loudest. Her friends affectionately nicknamed her "Squeaky" because of her unmistakable high-pitched voice. She possessed a larger-than-life personality, a generous heart, and a deep love for her family. Tami never hesitated to speak her mind, share a laugh, or remind those around her how much she cared.
More than anything, Tami cherished her family. Her love, strength, humor, and spirited personality touched the lives of all who knew her. She leaves behind countless memories that will continue to bring smiles, laughter, and comfort to those she loved. Though she is no longer with us, Tami's voice, presence, and unwavering love for her family will never be forgotten. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
