Teresa Brito Padilla Peralta

Teresa Brito Padilla de Peralta, age 90, originally from Mexico, passed away peacefully
at her family home in Newburgh on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. She was born in
Obrajuelo, Guanajuato, Mexico on October 20, 1933.

She was the daughter of the late Esteban Brito and Maria Padilla. She was a caring homemaker in Mexico, raising her seven children as well as some of her grandchildren. She was also a devout Catholic, a faithful member of her town's church, Santuario del Senor de la Piedad in Obrajuelo. She also attended mass regularly when she first moved to Newburgh at St. Patrick's Church.

She is survived by her sister in Mexico, Eulalia Brito Padilla as well as her seven children, Carmelo Peralta, Mario Peralta, Rosa Peralta, Maria Elena Peralta, Fernando Peralta, Rigoberto Peralta, and Fidel Peralta. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her younger brother Balthazar, her older sister Christina, and her late husband Rodolfo Peralta.

Visitation services will be held on Friday November 17, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home from 4-7 pm before transferring her remains to her final resting place in her hometown cemetery in Mexico, next to her late husband.
