Thelma M. Mitchell

Thelma Mitchell (Mills) died at home on November 3, 2026, in Newburgh, New York. She was 98 1/2 years old. 

Born on March 12, 1928, in Stamford, New York, she is remembered by her brother, James Willard Mills; her daughter, Michele Achilli and husband Lance; and sons Michael Mitchell and wife Kathleen, and Jeff Mitchell and companion Susan Miller. Also six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

She was predeceased by her husband, B. Victor Mitchell; her sister, Constance Betts; her sister, Joyce Snyder; her brother, Robert Mills; and her brother, Richard Mills.

A visitation will be held on November 5, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY. Service at 11:30 AM. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, 93 Union Avenue, New Windsor, NY, following the service.
