Theresa (Terry) Mlinaric 84 years old residing in the town of New Windsor, NY for the last 14 years after moving from Central Valley her home with her deceased husband John. Retiring there from Whitestone, Queens where they raised 3 children together - John, Donna, & Kathy.
Born September 11, 1939, to Frank & Margie Perino, she grew up in Manhattan, NY with her sister Louise. She was married to John on Oct. 22, 1960 and was a housewife, and eventually went to work as a cashier when the kids were all in school, then as a secretary for a Flushing based construction company.
Terry (as she was known by her friends) was the sweetest, most loving mom and grandmother. When she moved "upstate" to be closer to her grandchildren she. They also enjoyed being snow birds and owned a condo in Florida. Terry also enjoyed playing mahjong and made many close friends there.
She was a fighter and fought till the end always with a smile and a zest for life. She has a devoted family that will help each other through this difficult time. We love and miss you already so much!
She is pre-deceased by her husband of 49 years, John; brother-in-law Patrick McHugh, who passed away less than 4 months ago; and two nephews, Michael and Patrick. She is survived by her 3 children - John Mlinaric, Donna Buser, Kathy Amanatides and her husband Taso; her 6 grandchildren (whom she loved and cherished with all her heart), Kyle and his wife Jourdan, Caitlin, Megan, Nicole and her husband James, Alex and his wife Alyssa, and Jessica and her boyfriend Justin. She was blessed to have 2 great grandchildren Zoe who brought her so much joy and new born Michael, with 2 more on the way! Also her sister, Louise; long time friends; and many cousins.

Visitation will be Sunday November 26, 2023 from 2PM to 5PM at Brooks Funeral Home 481 Gidney Ave, Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday November 27, 2023 at Sacred Heart Church 301 Ann Street, Newburgh, NY at 10AM. Burial will follow at Mount St. Mary Cemetery 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave, Flushing, NY.
