Thomas A.
Leahy
July 28, 1950 – August 31, 2023
Thomas Adam Leahy, Born in Brooklyn on July 28,1950 to Thomas E. Leahy and Rosemarie Neumar Leahy. Thomas was self-employed his entire working career. He started and sold many different businesses in the automotive industry. His last business was import/export. He traveled all over the world but spent most of his time in China in small villages that most people don't see. He loved the culture and the people. Thomas loved the ocean. He went snorkeling and diving any chance he got while living in Florida. Thomas was always available to help people especially his siblings. Having lost his father while in his teens his role became the man of the family. He is survived by his siblings, Diana (Thomas) Parker, Barbara Talerico, Kenneth Leahy and Judith Leahy. Also, nieces and nephews, Kristin Rothwell, Nikki Baron, Althea Radelicki, Meta Fairburn, Daniel Webb, Michelle Leahy, Rosemarie, David, Neida and the late Gilbert Figueroa.
His special little man was his great nephew Elliott Baron who, he taught how to make a beautiful lounge chair in the sand when we all went to Pawleys island SC last summer. Also several other great nieces and nephews. To MaryEllen Riccio, thank you so much for being there for my brother. Tom fought a heroic fight with Pancreatic Cancer for 2 years. He and I spent all that time together as much as possible. We talked about everything in our lives from the time we were children. We enjoyed going to the movies and having lunch together. He was so strong and will always be my hero. Thank you to the Nurses, Dr. and all the staff of Kaplan Hospice for all the wonderful care they gave my special brother.
