Thomas J.
Mcbride
September 12, 1970 – May 18, 2024
Thomas J. McBride, Jr.
September 12, 1970 ~ May 18, 2024
Tom passed away unexpectedly, May 18, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife, Kristin and
daughters Grace & Kaylie, his sister Carolyn and husband Pat, his sister Tricia and husband Anthony,
his brother Michael and wife Barbara and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Tom grew up in Hicksville, New York, and eventually moved upstate to the town of Newburgh. Although he always said "I don't discriminate, I hate everyone equally." He had many friends. Tom had a love of cars and motorcycles. He was exceptionally talented when it came to anything mechanical and could fix anything with a motor or engine (you better know the difference). He had a natural gift!... but was too modest to recognize it; just always there to lend a hand and help out.
Tom also enjoyed travel and the great outdoors. He'd share many stories of adventures in Italy, Iceland, Ireland & Norway as well as many camping and skiing trips.
He would always research and learn all he could about anything he was interested in. Tom formed his own thoughts and opinions and loved to have lively debates.
If you where privileged enough to know Tom, you know he was a rare individual who always thought outside the box and showed he cared, rather than say it.
Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Sunday, June 2 from 1 - 4 PM. Burial will take place at the Town of Rhinebeck Natural Burial Ground, 55 Mill Road, Rhinebeck, on Monday, June 3 at 11 AM.
If you would like to donate at any time in memory of Tommy, this is group that cares for the natural burial grounds maintenance & plantings. Please specify that your donation is in honor of Thomas McBride & is for the natural burial ground.
