Today our community mourns the unexpected loss of beloved husband, father, and friend Thomas V. Wohlrab. He passed away suddenly in his home surrounded by loved ones on February 5, 2022.Thomas, most affectionately known as Tommy, was born on July 24, 1974 in Newburgh to parents Annetta "Toni" Romito of Newburgh and Thomas J. Wohlrab of Wallkill. He attended Wallkill school district through the tenth grade and graduated from Valley Central High School in 1992. He went on to pursue a business degree from both SUNY Plattsburgh and SUNY Morrisville.In 1995, Tommy met his lifetime love, Alison. For 27 years, they've built an amazing life together. They were married on August 25, 2001 at The Villa Baglieri in the town of Plattekill. They were inseparable. Together, they raised their three children Ashley, Thomas and Carly. Tommy was his children's biggest fan; no one was prouder of them than he was.As a long standing member of the community, he owned and operated A & T Landscaping for 25 years and co-owned and operated A & T's House of Bounce for 8 years. Many also knew him as a prominent board member of the Orange County West Ice Hockey Club.He was known among friends as an avid Rangers fan, loudly declaring his loyalty when he walked into the room. And in the off season, he could be found on his boat. Tommy's vivacious personality will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.Tommy is survived by his wife Alison Wohlrab and their three children, Ashley, Thomas and Carly Wohlrab; mother and stepfather Toni and Bill Romito; father Thomas J Wohlrab; brother Timothy Wohlrab and nieces Emily and Sarah Wohlrab; father in law Robert Marron; sister and brother in law Kelly and Tom Morel and nephews Thomas, Lucas and Nicholas Morel; brother and sister in law Marc and Jordan Marron and nephew Owen Marron; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 10 at Brooks Funeral Home from 3-7 p.m. A Service will be held on Friday, February 11 at Brooks Funeral Home at 11 a.m.
