Wilhelmina Patterson, 71, of New Windsor, NY passed away on April 3, 2025 at home with her children by her side.

She was born on October 13, 1953 in Vonville, South Carolina to Ruth Mae and Layman Patterson. She was educated in the Newburgh School District. She retired from the Hudson Valley DDSO after 35 years of service.

Wilhelmina loved going to the casinos, it was one of her favorite things to do. She also loved shopping, especially online; Nike and Michael Kors were her thing.

She is survived by her four children: Carla Cousar of Pennsylvania, Felicia Jackson, Alexander and Shatavious Cooper all of Newburgh, NY. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Tamea and Tyrek Cousar of Pennsylvania, Thomas Cousar, Daquan Hawkins, Kaileek and Kailani Reese, and Heaven Pickett; and three great-grandchildren, Tru Cousar, Daquir and Amaiya Sims; and a sister, Janet Owens, of Troy, NY.

She was predeceased by her mother, Ruth Mae Patterson; father, Layman Patterson; brother, Nathaniel Patterson; and sister, Maryann Patterson.

The visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home on Thursday April 17, 2025 from 10:00am-1:00pm with a funeral service at 12:30pm.

A burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
