William Frederick Murphy, 59, passed away on December 18th in the comfort of his own home in New Windsor after a long battle with cancer.

He was born to Trudie and Donald Murphy on June 3, 1964 in Newburgh NY. He is the youngest of 3 boys. He married Kathleen Mcguinness in 1997 and had his only child Kelly Murphy, whom he later separated from. He was a 1982 graduate of NFA and worked at Pepsi in Newburgh for many years of his young life. He then made the transition to Arkel Motors for the remaining years, where he found a loving and appreciative family to work for. William later got into a relationship and lived with his long term girlfriend, Laureen Fee. His main loves in life were his daughter, the gym, watching and playing sports, Rottweilers, going out to eat and drink with friends & loved ones, and being anywhere in the sun. His smile, laugh, and sarcastic quick witted personality were able to brighten everyone's day.

William is survived by his daughter, Kelly Murphy; his legal wife, Kathleen Mcguinness Murphy; mother, Trudie Sumstad; stepfather, David Sumstad; girlfriend, Laureen Fee; brother, Roger Murphy; and many other nieces, nephews, and best friends.

William is predeceased by his father Donald Murphy and brother Donald J. Murphy, Jr, "Surf".
