William C. Pilson

William C. Pilson, 89, of Modena NY, Passed away on October 10, 2023.
Mr. Pilson was retired from West Point NY, he previously served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. During his time in Korea he fought in the Battle of Heart Break Ridge and Bloody Ridge in 1951. After the war he was stationed at the US Military Academy in West Point NY. Upon his honorable discharge from the US Army he began working as a civilian at West Point until his retirement. William was highly respected by his community and fellow veterans. He was an avid outdoorsman, stamp collector, and western movie buff.
He is survived by his sister, Debbie McCartie; son, William R. Pilson; daughter, Linda Bender and husband William Bender; daughter, Sandra Dombek and husband Thomas Dombek; grandsons, Joshua Dombek, Christopher Bender, Patrick and his wife Emily Bender; and great-grandchildren, Peyton and Wyatt Bender.
He is predeceased by his loving wife Margaret Pilson, and daughter Bonnie Pilson.
Visitation will be held at Brooks Funeral Home 481 Gidney Ave Newburgh, NY from 4 to 7pm on Friday, October 13. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery on Saturday, October 14 at 11:30am
