William A. Sutton Sr.

William A. Sutton Sr. entered into rest on Monday, December 2, 2024 with his daughter Shaniqua Jackson by his side leaving a legacy of love. The son of the late James Walter Sutton and Alberta Carmen, he was born on November 12, 1944 in Kinston, NC.

William was a loving and caring man as well as a pillar in his community. His early years of work include Conrail Railroad and Ford Motor Company in Mahwah, NJ. He had a passion for cars and cherished his Lincoln Continental and '84 Camaro. He was a man of few words who loved his children, 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Surviving siblings include his brother, Robert Sutton of Greensboro, NC and Michelle Sutton of Newburgh, NY; loving daughter Shaniqua Jackson of Albany and her mother Teritha Comithier; and sons Marco and Daymon Sutton of Albany, NY, Harold Brown of Greensboro, NC and William Sutton of Beacon, NY.

He will forever be remembered for his loving smile, gentle laughter and unwavering love for his family.
