William George Ware

William George Ware passed away on April 27, 2025, in Newburgh, New York. He was born on August 4, 1952, to Marian E. and William B. Ware in Newburgh.

A graduate of Newburgh Free Academy, Class of 1970, Bill began his working life at Will Ware Appliances under the guidance of his father. He later pursued higher education at the Brooklyn School of Pharmacy, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. Bill dedicated over 40 years to his profession as a pharmacist, culminating his career at Price Chopper in Newburgh before retiring.

Beyond his professional achievements, Bill led a vibrant and adventurous life. He was a skilled woodworker and an accomplished hunter. His passion for skydiving led him to complete over 1,000 jumps, including formation dives.

His love of tennis brought him to the Sportsplex in New Windsor where he met the people who became his tennis family, whose friendship, love, and support. meant the world to him.

Bill is survived by his sisters Marilyn Lucas and Judith Howard (David), along with many nieces and nephews whom he adored.

Visitation will be held from 12 pm - 2 pm on Sunday, May 4 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh.
