Alice M. Hayes, of Montgomery, NY and formerly a long-time resident of Newburgh, entered into rest on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. She was 82. Daughter of the late John Dennis and Lillian (Knickerbocker) Hulse, she was born January 21, 1934 in Danbury, CT. On April 7, 1957 Alice married Kenneth G. Hayes in Tuxedo, NY. Kenneth predeceased Alice in 1979. Alice is survived by her loving children, Kenneth L. Hayes of Pine Bush, NY, Robert G. Hayes of Montgomery, NY, Paul D. Hayes of Middletown, NY and Barbara A. Werley of Montgomery, NY; grandchildren, Justin T. Hayes of Cowpen, South Carolina, Paul D. Hayes of Newburgh, Kimberly A. Hayes, of the state of Washington, Justine A. Werley of the state of Indiana and Jonathan D. Werley, also of Indiana; great-grandchildren, Brianne Rodriguez and Alexander Fandrich; her sister, Evelyn MacDougal of North Carolina; nieces and nephews, Michael Steiger of Newburgh, NY, Victoria of the state of Florida, Heath MacDougall of North Carolina and Brandi Cook of the state of Florida. In addition to her husband, Kenneth, Alice was predeceased by her son, Thomas Hayes. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, April 11 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY 12550. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Brooks Funeral. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
