Elizabeth Farina

Elizabeth Farina, born in Queensland, Australia, the daughter of the late John Watson and Margaret (Bow) Palmer, entered into rest on February 9, 2019.
We have been very fortunate to have Aunt Beth in our lives for so many years. She was a true example of the strength and endurance of her generation. Although this is sad for us, we are able to derive some comfort in knowing she is happy now that she has reunited with Uncle Joe, her loving husband of 76 years, who she just lost six short weeks ago. Losing him was devastating for her and we are grateful that they are eternally together again. Elizabeth was a member of New Windsor Seniors and St. Francis of Assisi Church.
She is survived by nieces Lynn Distefano and husband Jim of Slate Hill, NY, Stephanie Cabral and husband Mario, Kym Garbatini and Tracy Daniels, all of Connecticut, and Ellen Palmer of Sydney, Australia; as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, February 14 at St. Francis Church, Newburgh, with burial following in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
