Erna M. Haugland affectionately known as Mimi, entered into rest on November 19, 2014 in Andover, NJ. She was 75 years old. The daughter of the late Kristen and Bertha (Simonsen) Johansen, Erna born on August 24, 1939 in Sgne, Norway. She married Olaf O. Haugland in Brooklyn on November 12, 1960. "To Live in hearts we leave behind is not to die" ~Thomas Cambell Erna was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Newburgh and the Sons of Norway, Hudson Valley Lodge. Erna is survived by her husband of 54 years, Olaf O. Haugland, at home; her children: Glenn E. Haugland and his wife Heidi Tronsmo of Norway, Anne C. Haugland of Newburgh, NY;her daughter-in-law Nina Haugland of Newburgh, NY; her sister: Liv Simonsen and her husband Sigurd and her brother Karl Jrgen Johansen and his wife Bjrg, all of Sgne, Norway; her grandchildren: Anne Goro, Ragnhild (Peter), Karen (Stephen), Tor Olav (Daniela), Erik (Stacy) and Scott; her great-grandchildren Jonathan and Christian; and several nieces and nephews from Norway. In addition to her parents, Erna was predeceased by her son Bjrn Haugland. A memorial service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 186 Fullerton Ave., Newburgh on Sunday, November 30 at 2 pm.
