Eugenia "Gina" Valenti of Newburgh passed away on April 1, 2026, due to declining health.
She was born on December 31, 1935, to Pasquale and Fillipa LoCicero. Gina married Attilio Valenti in Italy on February 20, 1955. Following their marriage, they moved to the United States to begin a new life together as husband and wife. Gina worked as a seamstress and was a proud member of the ILGWU.
She was predeceased by her husband, Attilio Valenti; her daughter, Carmelina Valenti; and five brothers.
She is survived by her loving son, Frank Valenti; her granddaughter, Sarah Valenti and her fiancé, Andrew Ford; her sister-in-law, Francis LoCicero; her niece, Lisa Arestin; and her nephews, John and Rick LoCicero, along with their spouses and children. She is also survived by many family members in Italy.
The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7th from 9:00am-10:30am at Brooks Funeral Home located at 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, NY 12550.
A Mass of the Christian burial will follow at Sacred Heart Church at 11:00am located at 301 Ann St, Newburgh, NY 12550.
A burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery located at 304 Walsh Ave, New Windsor, NY 12553.
