Kathleen, Kathy Monroe a lifelong resident of the Town of Newburgh passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 surrounded by her daughters and grandchildren. The daughter of the late John and Catherine (Cantwell) McDonald. Kathy was born on October 6, 1946 in Brooklyn NY.
Kathy graduated from NFA and also attended Krissler Business Institute.She worked for various business industries throughout the area and retired from Wallkill Correctional Facility after 20 years of service.
Kathy is survived by her daughters; Rebecca Monroe of Cario, NY. Renee Monroe of Walden, NY and Elizabeth Monroe of New Windsor, NY; brother Jack Cantwell of Lebanon, PA and sister-in-law Pat Cantwell Lebanon, PA (Jack's wife). Kathy was a loving grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 13 at Brooks Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m.
