Margaret V. Petro, 91, a lifelong resident of New Windsor, NY passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. The daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Frederco, she was born in Newburgh, NY on February 19, 1930. She was married to the late James R. Petro Sr.
Margaret, along with her late husband James, owned and operated Bellwood Park Par 3 in New Windsor. She will be fondly remembered for her good-heartedness, her ability to make people laugh, and the happiness she spread. She was always the life of the party, and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her son, James Petro Jr. and his wife Rosemarie; her daughter, Beverly Kroll and her husband Paul; four grandchildren: Jimmy Petro, Ricky Petro, Jennifer Gallagher and Michael Teleshuck; 2 great-grandchildren: Emilee Gallagher and Joey Gallagher; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 22 from 11 to 1 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY, with a service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
