Michael James Kennelty

Michael James Kennelty, 65, died Monday, July 1, 2019. He was born August 27th, 1953 in New York, NY to the late John and Margaret (Schmidt) Kennelty.
Michael was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He retired from Consolidated Edison after 44 years. He was an animal lover who treated his German shepherds like family. He particularly enjoyed spending time hunting and playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Beth Kennelty of Highland Mills, NY. Daughter, Emma (John) Albarino and their sons, Declan and Owen of Cornwall, NY. Granddaughter, Sophia. Sisters, Debra Ann (Philip) Joel of Trappe, PA and Maryann (Carlo) McGrath of Audubon, PA. Brother, Robert (Karen) Kennelty of Middletown, NY and many loving nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be celebrated on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 2-5pm at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave, Newburgh, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Kaplan Family Hospice Residence.
