Michael T."Pierre" Turturro of Newburgh, an Environmental Protection Assistant with the US Army Garrison in West Point, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital, Newburgh. He was 63 years old. The son of the late Thomas & Myrtle (Decker) Turturro, Michael was born on October 4, 1949. He was married to his loving wife of 16 years, Bonnie Turturro, at home. Michael had a great love for cooking and entertaining and was an avid golfer. He loved his family dearly and had a heart of gold. In addition to his wife, Bonnie, Michael is survived by his children: Michelle Turturro, of Virginia Beach, VA, Todd Fador and his wife, Jennifer of CT and Tara Lea and her husband, David, also of CT; grandchildren: Zachary Fador, Devin Jacobs, Jadin Robinson and Camrin Turturro Brown; great-grandchildren: Thomas J and Aiden J; a brother, Edward Rice and his wife, Shearan of Georgia and two sisters, Sally Boyd of Florida and Noreen Davis and her husband, William of Newburg, and several nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation for Michael will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Brooks Funeral Home 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made in Michael's name to American Cancer Society, , PO Box 22718 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73123-1718.
