Raymond J. McGowan Sr., of Walden, NY, a lifelong area resident, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015. He was 54. The son of Marie (DAngelo) and the late John R. McGowan Sr., he was born May 5, 1961 in Newburgh. Raymond will be greatly missed by his children and family. His sense of humor will live on in our hearts forever. He is survived by his children, Raymond J. McGowan Jr. and Jessica M. McGowan, both of Cornwall; his siblings, Rosanne McGowan-Cochrane of New Paltz and Steven McGowan of Walden; the mother to his children, Carol Popowick of Cornwall; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two brothers, John McGowan Jr. and Chris McGowan. Visitation will be held from 9am-10 am on Wednesday, July 1 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Funeral Home Service will follow at 10am, the burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
