Susan Lee "Susie" Hoffman, of Coral Springs, FL, formerly of Newburgh, a retired Banking Manager for The Bank of New York, died June 14, 2015 at Coral Springs Medical Center in Florida. She was 71. Daughter of the late Harold and Frieda (Vahrenkomp) Hoffman, she was born April 20, 1944 in Brooklyn New York. Susan was called to rest on Sunday, June 14, 2015 after a hard but short battle with cancer. Words are not enough to describe her warm, loving soul. She was unique and lived her life to the words, "Love and be kind to all living things". Her giving and generous nature was shown by the many organizations she volunteered for (The food Pantry, Meals on Wheels, and donations to many animal charities such as Dolphin Research Center, Best Friends Sanctuary, and Delta Rescue). She has left many broken hearts but many more wonderful memories to all the lives she has touched. Survivors include her life partner, Barbara Mancini, her brother-in-law Gene Sala, nieces and nephews, Joan Kane (Rob); Gene Sala (Cleo); Robert Sala (Ann); and great nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Emily, Jonathon, Caroline, Victoria, Kate, and Ethan. She was predeceased by her loving parents, very cherished sister, Linda, and previous life partner Maria Cimino. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Friday, June 19 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave. Newburgh. A service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 20 at the funeral home, with burial following in St. Francis Cemetery, New Windsor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to any animal charity of your choice.
