Tristan A. Laurion entered into eternal rest on August 13, 2018 at his home in Cornwall. He was 85 years old. Son of the late Rodolphe and Gertrude (Voisard) Laurion, Tristan was born on November 30, 1932, in Lowell, Massachusetts.
He graduated from Dracut High School in 1950. He was a graduate of Lowell Technological Institute. He received a master's degree at the University of New Hampshire. Tristan served as a lieutenant in the United States Air Force, and was stationed for two years at Otis Air Force Base. Tristan married Susanne Indzonka in 1962. He worked for many years at Texaco Research Center in Beacon, attaining the position of senior project chemist. He was a member of the Powelton Club and the Eastern Orange County Ski Club. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first cousins, Dolores M. Voisard, Raymond R. Dube, Sr., and Joseph R. Dube, Jr.
Tristan is survived by his nephews: Dr. Peter F. Indzonka of Albany, NY, Dr. Mark F. Indzonka of Stroudsburg, PA, and Erik F. Indzonka, Esq., of New Windsor, NY; his first cousins: Richard N. Dube of Dracut, MA and Raymond L. Voisard of Hopland, CA; and his first cousins once removed: Richard N. Dube II of Pittsburg, NH; Daniel Dube, Susan Dube Coffman and Katie Shirley Mathews of Alexandria, LA; Steven Dube, Jason Shirley and Allyson Shirley Warren of Boyce, LA; Raymond R. Dube Jr. of Simpson, LA; Elizabeth Dube Newcomb of Woodstock, GA; Cheryl Dube Morin of Nashua, NH; Cynthia Dube Tourville of Pelham, NH; Terry L. Dube of Dunnellon, FL, Richard V. Dube of Kingston, NH, Joseph D. Dube of Springfield, AK, Deborah J. Dube Hatton of Warwick, RI and Angela R. Dube of Littleton, MA.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 28 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, N.Y. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 29 at St. Joseph's Church, 4 St. Joseph's Place, New Windsor, N.Y. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, on Cemetery Rd., Mountainville, N.Y.
